Mirefall:
"Where Dreams Rot and Time Forgets its Name"

Mirefall is a realm carved from broken memory and cursed beauty—a place that once might have been a fairytale, before it was touched by betrayal, obsession, and time’s slow decay. It exists in a state of eternal twilight, where the sky bruises violet and gold, and the moon never fully wanes. The stars flicker in strange patterns, like they’re spelling something long forgotten. The land is warped yet hauntingly elegant, stitched together like a broken mirror—each fragment reflecting a different kind of madness. Roads twist back on themselves. Rivers run with ink or glass. Forests grow upside down, and the wind speaks in riddles if you listen too long. It is a place both ancient and alive—beautiful, but not kind.Magic here is thick and volatile, tied to emotion and memory. Spells taste like grief. Curses bloom like flowers. No one ever truly dies in Mirefall… they just change.Mirefall is divided into three principal dominions, each a mirror of its ruler’s heart:
The Crimson Court

A baroque palace overrun by living roses and hollow rituals. It pulses with beauty, power, and unbearable longing. The Crimson King rules with velvet-gloved cruelty and a voice that binds. Within these halls, everything is red—wine, wounds, lips, regret.

The Crooked Spire

A spiraling chaos of gears, riddles, and rebellion. The laws of reality bend here, and tea is served with revolution. The Mad Hatter and the Uncrowned gather beneath the cracked sky, laughing in defiance as they plan the undoing of the world—or its salvation.
The Mad Hatter
Hearthollow

A sleepy, crumbling village veiled in memory-fog. Lanterns glow in empty windows, and music plays for no one. Mayor Thistlepitch keeps order with kind eyes and a shaking hand, hosting festivals for ghosts and rehearsing rituals that no longer matter.
The March Hare

Other Lands (Waiting in the Mist):
The Thistle Mire – A swamp of shifting illusions and whispering vines. The Mawling Downs – Rolling hills that scream when you step too hard. The Hollow Tree – A vertical graveyard of forgotten dreams and time-locked memories. The Upside Glade – A forest suspended in the air, rooted in the sky, where gravity is optional and sanity is negotiable.
